Carol Connolly Reading Series
Beginning in February 2009, The Carol Connolly Reading Series will no longer exist as a linked series of readings produced by Intermedia Arts. However (wait! don't get worried!) ALL of the readings ARE going to continue! Same times, same places, same curators and everything!
Three of our readings, Readings by Writers, hosted by Carol Connolly; Readings at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, hosted by Anna Meek; and Speculations, curated by Eric Heideman, will go off on their own to become individual readings in our community. They will be run by these same wonderful curators, and will take place on the same days and times at the same locations—the University Club of Saint Paul, Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, and DreamHaven books, respectively.
After more than 13 years as a series, we are proud to give these readings to the community, and they will continue to provide us with incredible opportunities to discover and share the finest work being produced by local writers.
We are very pleased to announce that the GLBT reading series, curated by John Medeiros and Andrea Jenkins will remain a part of Intermedia's literary programming, and has found a new venue and partner in Hamline University.
Beyond the Pure: Readings by Writers of Color series will also stay on with Intermedia Arts literary programs. This reading series will return in the spring with a new venue and some wonderful features.
