Art. Changes. Everything. Fundraising Breakfast  Event Assistants!
Spending a morning with Intermedia Arts staff and artists at our upcoming fundraiser! 

We are looking for up to five enthusiastic people to assist at our fundraising breakfast event. An opportunity to rub elbows with some of Intermedia Arts' artists and outstanding community members while providing basic customer service duties in a fast-paced environment. The important work we have been doing for the past 42 years would not be possible without the financial support of our community and this event is an opportunity for people to learn how they can contribute to the work Intermedia Arts does to support artists creating positive change in the community. In exchange for assisting, you get a free breakfast!
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Helping set up for the event
- Assisting at registration table
- Helping guests find their seats
- Taking coats, helping with way-finding
- Additional tasks as assigned by Intermedia Staff
 
To assist for the Art. Changes. Everything. Fundraising Breakfast, please be able to arrive by 6:30AM on April 29 and plan to say until 10AM.

Help at the Queer Voices Booth at PRIDE!
Enjoy the weather outside and promote our Queer Voices Reading Series at Twin Cities Pride! 

We are looking for up to 13 enthusiastic, outgoing people to help staff our booth at Twin Cities Pride! The main focus of our booth will be on our outstanding Queer Voices Reading Series - the longest running series of its kind in the nation! Join us at our booth in Loring Park to meet people, pass out information about the series, and have a great time celebrating 10 years of Queer Voices at Intermedia Arts!
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Helping set up / break down the booth
- Passing out info
- Chatting with community members
- Answering questions (as needed)
- Additional tasks as assigned by Intermedia Staff
 
To assist at the PRIDE booth, please sign up for one (or more!) shifts listed below. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early - and wear sunscreen!

Q-STAGE: New Work Series Ushers

We are looking for two ushers per performance for our next show, Q-STAGE: New Works Series, a showcase of experimental new works from local queer-identified performers exploring themes of race, gender identity, sexuality, family, class and more! Featured artists include: Shannon Forney, Andrea Jenkis, Basil Kreimendahl, Harrison David River, Deja Stowers, Lucy Lucas Valentine, and Emily Zimmer. In exchange for ushering, you get a FREE ticket! 
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Take tickets from patrons
Assist with seating in theatre
Provide quality customer service
Complete additional tasks as assigned by Intermedia Staff

 
To usher for one night (or two!) of Q-STAGES, please be able to arrive 45 minutes before the show begins. Shows dates and times:

Sistah Solo  |  Being Brothas  Ushers

We are looking for two ushers per performance for our next show, Sistah Solo | Being Brothas, a celebration of the unique voices of women and men of color through film, dance, music, movement, and spoken word. Featured artists include: Al Taw'am, Ashley Akpaka, Ashley, Selmer, Mitchell Brown, Tish Jones, Tamiko French, Brandon Steele, Chadwik "Niles" Phillips, Chini Perez, CYBORG, Nate Kay, and Up Rock. In exchange for ushering, you get a FREE ticket! 
 
DUTIES INCLUDE:

Front Desk Administrative Support


Do you have 4 hours per week or per month you'd like to contribute to an amazing organization dedicated to social change and healthy communities? Are you available weekday mornings or afternoons? This is a great opportunity to add experience to your resume and reference list. Plus, Intermedia Arts is totally fun and loves volunteers!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in filing paperwork
  • Cleaning public spaces
  • Front desk support  
  • Customer service
  • Organizing and upkeep of storage spaces
  • Occasional web updates
  • Data entry
  • Assisting with special projects as they come up
  • Other duties as assigned  


Applicants should enjoy working in an office setting, have exceptional organizing skills, be punctual, efficient, and able to take direction. Some prior understanding of office software for Mac computers preferred, including Excel and Word.
