Cyril Paul is a native of Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies, the land of Calypso, Steel Bands, the Limbo, and Carnival. Cyril began his musical career in Trinidad as a singer and bongo artist. He is currently a recording artist and leader of Calypso Monarchs, a musical group presently performing in the Twin Cities and a member of COMPAS/WAITS, a cadre of artists which provides artists in residence to Minnesota schools. In addition to being a musician and singer, he also writes poetry and short plays with the goal to enable diversity to become a reality for those who truly desire it. He has a passion for justice and peace and wants to share in the leadership of this beautiful country to bring us all to the wellsprings of diversity, justice and peace.
