| Alejandra Cecilia Tobar Alatriz was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. Growing up under a dictatorship, her memories of acting and dancing on stage and on television are peppered with day-to-day details of military rule. Since arriving in the United States, Alejandra has engaged in grassroots organizing around race, class, the impacts of globalization, effects of militarized foreign policy and radical relationship-building. She has performed and spoken on behalf of human rights all over the United States, Chile and parts of Europe. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas, Austin. | ||
